About AARTH India

Academy for Applied Research & Training in Healthcare in India (aarth-INDIA) is an institution, registered under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act XXVI of 1961 of India, committed to foster and promote the cause of health sciences for the welfare of the people in India. It is a non-government initiative striving for attainment of better health of the community supplementing, and not substituting, the existing and future government systems and networks healthcare in India.

The non-availability, sub-optimal quality and relative lack of credibility of healthcare personnel and of the health-related data and information being as the two major impediments against optimum healthcare delivery in the country- aarth-INDIA pledges to bridge such gaps in its limited capacity. Objectives

  1. Providing intellectual support and advisory services towards smooth conduct of clinical trials at RTIICS, Kolkata
  2. To help create a positive, responsible and responsive environment for the conduct of clinical trials
  3. To facilitate the process of clinical trial conduct and management at RTIICS
  4. To enable RTIICS making the clinical trial management system more and more efficient
  5. To provide intellectual support and advisory services of general nature, towards smooth conduct of clinical trials at RTIICS
  6. To extend expert consultancy services addressing diverse intriguing issues in reference to the conduct of clinical trials
  7. To make available to RTIICS the sources of clinical trial related information

Methodology

A team of experts from aarth-India shall be contributing to effective management of clinical trials. On a 6-monthly basis an update report with a done-and-to-do list will be forwarded to the RTIICS authority. Major part of the responsibilities shall be executed on line and on a distant implementation mode. However the Project Advisor shall, for a face-to-face dialogue at the hospital’s premises/office, as far as practicable, make himself/herself available as and when necessary, up to a maximum of 2 visits per month.
